Overview
This 7-day cultural journey through Mongolia offers an authentic experience of the country’s rich heritage, with a special focus on Tsagaan Sar, the Mongolian Lunar New Year. Beginning in Ulaanbaatar, the tour includes visits to key city landmarks before traveling to a traditional Ger camp, where travelers will take part in unique New Year’s Eve customs such as cooking traditional dumplings, playing folk games, and enjoying a festive folklore show.
The celebration continues with Tsagaan Sar activities including sunrise rituals, nomadic family visits, archery, and cultural workshops. The journey also explores Mongolia’s natural beauty with trips to Khustai National Park—home to the wild Takhi horses—and the stunning landscapes of Terelj National Park. Stops at iconic sites like the Chinggis Khaan Statue Complex and Turtle Rock add historical depth, and the adventure concludes with shopping and a farewell dinner back in Ulaanbaatar.
