Overview
This 7-day Sri Lankan tour combines wildlife, culture, and coastal beauty. After arriving in Negombo, you’ll head to Kataragama and embark on a thrilling safari in Yala National Park to witness Sri Lanka’s famous wildlife. The following day, you’ll travel to Galle, stopping at Weligama to see the stilt fishermen, before exploring the UNESCO-listed Galle Fort and its charming surroundings. In Galle, you’ll visit Rumassala Temple and Jungle Beach, with plenty of time to relax or explore further.
The tour continues with a visit to Bentota, where you’ll take a boat ride through the Madu River mangroves, visit a turtle hatchery, and enjoy optional water sports. You’ll then head to Colombo for a city tour, exploring iconic sites like the Dutch Church, Pettah Bazaar, and the Lotus Tower. After a final dinner in Colombo, the tour concludes with a transfer to the airport for your departure. This itinerary provides a perfect balance of adventure, cultural immersion, and relaxation, making it ideal for travelers looking to experience Sri Lanka’s natural and historical highlights.

Day 1: Arrival – Negombo (Dinner)
- Arrived in Bandaranaike International Airport and meet with our representative.
- Transfer to Negombo and check in hotel.
- Dinner and overnight stay at Hotel Pegasus Reef or similar.
Day 2: Negombo – Kataragama (288km / 3hr 45min) (Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner)
- Breakfast at hotel and transfer to Yala.
- Lunch at local restaurant.
- Venture into the Yala National Park on a game drive in a 4 x 4 vehicle to see the famous sights of the animals (excursion duration approx. 3hrs)
- Check in hotel, dinner and overnight stay at Chaarya Resort & Spa or similar.
Day 3: Kataragama – Galle (147km / 2hr 9min) (Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner)
- Breakfast at hotel and transfer to Galle.
- En route to visit the Stilt Fisherman in Weligama for a photo stop and the famous Galle World Heritage Site.
- Procced City tour of Galle.
- Lunch at local restaurant.
- Transfer to hotel for check in, dinner and overnight stay at South Lake Resort or similar.
Day 4: Galle (Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner)
- Breakfast at hotel.
- Visit Rumassala Temple and Jungle Beach, Unawatuna.
- Lunch at local restaurant.
- Relaxing at hotel or exploring the city on your own.
- Dinner and overnight stay at South Lake Resort or similar.
Day 5: Galle – Bentota (70.4km / 1hr 9min) (Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner)
- Breakfast at hotel and transfer to Bentota.
- Boat Ride at Madu River among the Mangroves and Experience a Mangrove Fruit Drink.
- Lunch at a local restaurant.
- Visiting the Turtle Hatchery and Water Sports in Bentota (Optional with Additional Charges)
- Check in hotel, dinner and overnight stay at Hotel Palms Beruwala or similar.
Day 6: Bentota – Colombo (86.3km / 1hr 30min) (Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner)
- Breakfast at hotel and transfer to Colombo.
- Visit Fort, the former British administrative center and military garrison, Sea Street – the Goldsmith’s quarters in the heart of Pettah, the Bazaar area where there is also a Hindu Temple with elaborate stone carvings, the Kaymans Gate with the Belfry at the original gate to enter the Fort, the Dutch Church of Wolfendhaal dating back to 1749, Davatagaha Mosque, Colombo Museum and the Natural History Museum are some of the sites to be visited.
- Also visit the BMICH (Bandaranaike Memorial International Conference Hall), see the replica of Avukana Buddha and the Independence Square. (Excursion Duration – Approx. 02 – 03 hrs).
- On the return make a stop at the Lotus Tower to take pictures of the newest addition to Sri Lanka.
- Dinner and overnight stay at Hotel Fairway Colombo or similar.
Day 7: Colombo – Departure (Breakfast)
- After breakfast, transfer to airport for departure.

- Rooms are subject to availability upon confirmation of the booking.
- Alcohol will not be served by any hotel on Poya Days (full moon) and public holidays prohibited by the government.
- Smoking Tobacco and drinking alcohol are strictly prohibited in public places and is only allowed in designated areas.
- When entering a Buddhist Temple or Hindu Kovil, refrain from wearing shorts, skinnies when entering and remove footwear/caps. Some temples do not allow photographs.
- Do not feed monkeys and other animals and do not wear bright colored clothes during Game drives and nature walks as it can distract animals.
