Overview
The trekking combines upriver travel, jungle trekking, caving the show caves and overnight stay at an Iban longhouse. The trail itself follows the route taken by Kayan headhunting parties who paddled up and trekking to where they launched headhunting raids against the people of the Limbang area. Headhunter’s Trail can also be done in reverse, starting from Limbang and ending up at the park HQ.

Itinerary
Day 1: Arrive Mulu – Mulu Marriott Resort – Lang Cave – Deer Cave – Bat Exodus (Dinner)
- Upon arrival at Mulu Airport, meet and greet our friendly representative and transfer to Mulu Marriott Resort & Spa to check in.
- Afternoon, meet at resort lobby and transfer to Mulu National Park headquarters.
- Upon registration and proceed on plank walk for 3 Km to reach Deer Cave & Lang Cave.
- After exploring the caves, proceed to bats observatory to observe bats flying out of caves entrance at late evening (Only confine to fine weather).
- Return journey on the same plank walk to park headquarters and transfer back to resort.
- Dinner & overnight.
Day 2: Penan Settlement – Wind Cave – Clearwater Cave – Camp 5 (Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner)
- Breakfast at resort and transfer by longboat proceed to Batu Bungan – Penan Settlement, to observe the tribe lifestyle and to select handicrafts on display for sale at Penan Settlement.
- Continue journey by longboat to Wind Cave and Clearwater Cave.
- Pack lunch at Clearwater summer huts and relax for a while then continue journey by longboat to Long Litut.
- Then jungle trek for 3 hours to Camp 5.
- Dinner and overnight at Camp 5.
Day 3: Camp 5 – Mendalam (Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner)
- Breakfast at Camp 5 and walk through lowland forest to Terikan river (Pack lunch), then by longboat down the Terikan and mendalam rivers to longhouse.
- Dinner and overnight at longhouse.
Day 4: Mendalam – Departure (Breakfast)
- Breakfast at longhouse.
- After breakfast transfer by road to the town of Limbang or Limbang airport for flight back to Miri or next destination.

TERMS & CONDITIONS
- The rates provided are based strictly on the minimum number of persons specified in the request above. If the actual number of persons is fewer or reduced, the rate will need to be recalculated and re-quoted accordingly.
- This is solely a quotation. No reservation has been made until we receive your written acceptance of the quotation and the deposit to secure the quoted rates.
- Price is subject to any surcharge including peak season surcharge/ weekend/ public holiday surcharge.
- Confirmation is subject to availability of both hotels / land transfer arrangements.
- Deposit of 50% is required upon booking confirmation and final payment to be paid in full one month before arrival.
- Change of travel date is allowed and must be made 2 weeks prior to check-in date and is subject to room availability.
- Illness or Absence: The guest is responsible for any expenses incurred due to early return. There will be no refund for absence or early departure from a guided holiday.
- Cancellation procedure: Travel arrangements for any member of the party may be cancelled at any time by written notice by the person who made the booking.
- Please note the following:
- If notice of cancellation is received by Star Travel more than 30 days prior to the guided holiday departure date, 20% will be retained along for Star Travel’s Cancellation Fee Waiver payment.
- If full payment is not received one month prior to arrival date, Star Travel has the right to cancel your reservation. Star Travel will not be responsible for any lost reservations.
- If a member of the party made a cancellation, resulting in a change of room type (for example, from Twin to Single), the charges for the new room type will be shared among the remaining members of the party
- However, cancellation policies from third parties, such as resorts or other suppliers, may be subject to their respective penalties.
