11D10N CALVING SEASON SAFARI IN SERENGETI & NGORONGORO (PRIVATE TOUR)

• Upon arrival in Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO), meet with our representatives.
• Pick up and transfer to hotel.
• Check in and freshen up after your journey to Tanzania and unwind in the lush gardens before enjoying a delicious meal.
• Enjoying the remarkable view of Mount Kilimanjaro by just walking in the tropical garden.
• Get an early night rest before your trip that kicks off in the morning.

• After breakfast, proceed tour to Materuni Village and waterfalls.
• Materuni Waterfall tour starts with a walk through the area adjacent to the waterfall.
• When you get to the waterfall, you can refresh yourself in the nature pool.
• The tour continues with a visit to the local village lying in the coffee and banana plantations.
• Villagers will treat you with local lunch – Chagga meal.
• After lunch, the villagers will demonstrate the proceed of coffee farming and guide you through the preparation of coffee from a bean to a cup.
• Back to hotel for overnight stay.

• After breakfast, leave Moshi town at 08:
• Drive to Maasai Lodge in West Kilimanjaro and arrive for lunch.
• Checking, freshen up and walk to the dining area for lunch.
• After lunch, rest by the swimming pool or in your room, followed with an experience Maasai activity later in the afternoon such as Spear throwing competition against the Maasai or a guided nature walk with a local Maasai guide.
• Return to the lodge in the evening.
• After dinner back to your lodge for overnight stay in Maasai Lodge.

• Wake up early, go for a sunrise walk, take you through some of the medical plant followed with goat and cow milking experience in one of the Maasai settlements near the lodge.
• After breakfast, learn about Maasai life such as collect healing plants, looking for firewood etc.
• After lunch rest by the swimming pool or in your room, followed with and experience Maasai activities later in the afternoon such as Spear throwing competition against the Maasai or a guided nature walk with a local Maasai guide to learn about different herbs and medicinal plants still used by Maasai people as well as more traditions and culture of the Maasai.
• Return to the lodge in the evening.
• After dinner back to your lodge for overnight stay.

• After breakfast, pack your bags and depart to Tarangire National Park.
• A welcome table will be set-either at the entrance gate or a short distance away, with tea and coffee, cold drinks and snacks, allowing you to refresh while your guide briefs you on the surrounding area.
• After hot/cold drinks and snacks, experience the beautiful Tarangire National Park on an afternoon game drive with one of the superb guides.
• Enjoy your day in the park with game viewing in the evening.
• Transfer to the lodge to freshen up and relax.
• Once refreshed proceed to the dining area for dinner and a drink by the campfire.
• Overnight in Tarangire.

• Head out after breakfast for the transfer to Ndutu- Ngorongoro Conservation Area, part of the southern Serengeti eco-system.
• Explore the range of different habitats include swamps, woodland, soda lakes and the world-famous Serengeti/Ngorongoro ecosystem short grass plains.
• During this period the majority of the wildebeest calve.
• Overnight Ndutu-Ngorongoro conservation area.

• Relax with 2-full day in the endless plain of Serengeti with game drives.
• Depending on your preference, there are a couple of options with regards to how your day is structured in the Serengeti.

One option could be to start your day with an early Morning Balloon excursion followed with picnic breakfast at the end

OR

Second option is to break camp early and head out with a picnic breakfast on a morning game drive, returning to camp in time for lunch.

• Alternatively, you can eat breakfast in camp and head out with a picnic lunch on an afternoon game drive, returning in the mid-afternoon.
• In the evening transfer back to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

• After an early breakfast, pack your bags and depart with your driver to Ngorongoro Crater, an early start to the day is best in order to avoid the later influx of tourists into the Ngorongoro Crater.
• Enjoy the spectacular scenery and game viewing, in what has been described as the eighth wonder of the world.
• Many of Tanzania’s last remaining black rhino can be seen grazing on the open grassland of the crater floor, surrounded by some of the 25,000 large animals that occupy the crater, including lion, cheetah, wildebeest, eland, zebra and gazelle.
• Back to your lodge for overnight stay.

• After breakfast, you will depart to Kilimanjaro Airport for your flight home.
