India’s golden triangle is a tourist circuit which connects the national capital Delhi, Agra and Jaipur. The Golden Triangle is so called because of the triangular shape formed by the locations of New Delhi, Agra and Rajasthan on a map.
Varanasi is a city in the northern Indian state of Uttar Pradesh dating to the 11th century B.C. Regarded as the spiritual capital of India, the city draws Hindu pilgrims who bathe in the Ganges River’s sacred waters and perform funeral rites. Along the city’s winding streets are some 2,000 temples, including Kashi Vishwanath, the “Golden Temple,” dedicated to the Hindu god Shiva.
Haridwar, is an ancient city and municipality in the Haridwar district of Uttarakhand, India. According to legend, it was here that Goddess Ganga descended when Lord Shiva released the mighty river from the locks of his hair. The River Ganga, after flowing for 253 kilometres (157 mi) from its source at Gaumukhat the edge of the Gangotri Glacier, enters the Gangetic Plain for the first time at Haridwar, which gave the city its ancient name, Gangadwára.
Day 1 Kuala Lumpur - Delhi
Upon arrival to New Delhi International Airport, meet and greet by our Star Travel representative. Transfer to hotel.
Day 2 Delhi - Agra (Distance 210 km, estimated 4.5 hrs) – Full Day Sightseeing (B/D)
After breakfast check out and depart for Agra. Enroute visit Akshardham Temple, is also called Swaminarayan Temple epitomizes 10,000 years of Indian culture in all its breathtaking grandeur, beauty, wisdom and bliss. It brilliantly showcases the essence of India’s ancient architecture, traditions and timeless spiritual messages. Largest comprehensive Hindu temple, the complex was inaugurated on 6 November, 2005. Later depart for Agra. In the afternoon arrive and check into hotel. Later explore the city of Agra founded by Mughal Emperor. Witness the exquisiteness of Taj Mahal (closed on Friday) built by Mughal Emperor Shahjahan in 1630 to enshrine the mortal remains of his Queen Mumtaz. Later visit the Marble Factory where you can see the local artisans making the handicraft of Marble. In the evening, we shall bring to watch the live show of Mughal Period in the Kalakriti theatre. Back to hotel.
Day 3 Agra – Jaipur (Distance 245 km, estimated 4.5 hrs) via Fatehpur Sikri Sightseeing (B)
After breakfast, check out and visit Agra Fort & Itimad Ud Daula Fort. Later depart for Jaipur, the capital city of the state of Rajasthan. Following 4.5hrs drive arrive Jaipur and check into hotel. Rest of time free at leisure.
Day 4 Jaipur - Excursion to Amber Fort + Half City Tour (B/D)
After breakfast, transfer for excursion of Amber fort to see the fabulous Amber Fort. En-route to Amber you will stop and see the `Palace of Winds’, otherwise known as Hawa Mahal. It is really an elaborate facade behind which the ladies of the court used to watch the daily goings on in the street below. Later visit the City Palace, a famous landmark that is expanded over a large area as it occupies one seventh of the city. Walk to the adjacent Jantar Mantar or Astronomical Observatory made by the Maharaja of Jaipur. It has also been included in the world heritage lists. You will also have the opportunity to wander in the local markets where you can shop for souvenirs, traditional Rajasthani attires, skilful art craft of the region etc.
Day 5 Jaipur – Varanasi (Ganges Aarti) (B/D)
After breakfast, free at your leisure until scheduled transfer to Jaipur Domestic Airport to board the flight for Varanasi. Upon arrival, meet our representative who will assist you to transfer to hotel. In the evening visit the Ghat of the River Ganges to view the world famous Ganges Aarti.
Day 6 Varanasi - Boat ride with sunrise + City Tours (B/D)
Early morning visit the banks of the River Ganges to take boat ride with sunrise. Transfer back to hotel for breakfast. Later check out with luggage and proceed for half day sightseeing including Kasi Vishwanath Temple, Benaras Hindu University, Durga Temple, Tulsi Manas Temple, and Bharat Mata Temple etc. In the afternoon visit Sarnath where lord Buddha given his first sermon after getting enlightened at Bodhgaya. Visit Dhamekh Stupa, ruins of Deer Park, Mahabodhi Mahavihar & Sarnath Museum. Free at your own leisure until transfer to Airport flight for Delhi. Transfer back to hotel.
Day 7 Varanasi – Delhi - Haridwar (Distance 200 km, estimated 5 hrs) (B/D)
After breakfast, transfer to Airport to board the flight to Delhi. Drive to Haridwar is an ancient city where the River Ganges enters the Indo- Gangetic Plains of North India after the journey of 253Kms its source of Gaumukh. It is also regarded as one of the holiest places to Hindu where Kumbh Mela being celebrated every 03 years in one of the 04 places. Amidst the Kumbha Mela, millions of pilgrims, devotees, and tourists congregate in Haridwar to perform ritualistic bathing on the banks of the river Ganges to wash away their sins to attain Moksha. Brahma Kund, the spot where the Amrit fell, is located at Har ki Pauri (literally, "footsteps of the Lord") and is considered to be the most sacred Ghat of Haridwar. On reaching Haridwar check into hotel. In the evening enjoy Gages Aarti at Har ki Pauri Ghat. Transfer back to hotel.
Day 8 Haridwar - Rishikesh Sightseeing (B/D)
After breakfast, enjoy half day Haridwar Sightseeing, including visit Mansa Devi Temple, Chandi Temple and Har ki Puari Ghat etc. Proceed for same day excursion of Rishikesh (25kms) is also known as the Gateway of the Garhwal Himalayas. Here you can visit Laxman Jhula, Ram Jhula, Geeta ashram and Triveni Ghat etc. Transfer back to hotel.
Day 9 Haridwar – Delhi (Distance 200 km, estimated 4.5hrs) (B)
After breakfast, free at your own leisure until depart for Delhi. Transfer to hotel for check in. Rest of time free at leisure.
Day 10 Delhi – Sightseeing / Airport Departure (B)
After breakfast, check out and proceed for city tour of New Delhi. Start the sightseeing visiting Qutab Minar was built by Qutub ud din, successor of Iltutmush, is a UNESCO WOLD HERITAGE Site and the tallest Minaret in India. Later on visit Lotus Temple (Closed on Monday), National Museum, Birla Temple, India Gate, President House, Parliament House etc. Spend rest of time at Sarojini Nagar markets for shopping. Transfer to airport for flight back home.
